A Temple is a very special place. It is the house of God. God tells the prophet where and when to build Temples.

Temples are used for sacred things. In Temples, people can be married for time and eternity making important promises to the Lord. Work for the dead such as baptism is done in Temples. Special prayers are given for those in need.

As a daughter of God I am preparing to go to the Temple every day. The choices I make determine my worthiness. I need to read the scriptures and pray each day. I need to spend my time serving others like the Savior wants me to. I need to pay tithing on all the money I earn. I know it is important to take care of my body: to eat good food, to go to bed early, to play and exercise. I must also take good care of my mind and read good books and study hard in school and stay away from books, games or movies that would put bad thoughts in my mind.

I am preparing myself while I am young. This is my sacred duty.
